You will examine the stages of Jewish persecution during WWII and see how one family's plan to avoid German occupation detailed in what we know today as The Diary of Anne Frank. Sites have been selected for their premium information, and the webquest has been organized for you to follow and work along in your Holocaust webquest Handout. This is not a fast and easy assignment.It will stretch your limits and make you think on your own. If you are unclear on an assignment or how to research, just ask. You can do this, but it will take effort! While researching, you may "click" anywhere on the provided sites, but remember that our time is limited and that in order to complete the webquest, you will need to work efficiently. During this Holocaust Wequest, we have only scratched the surface of the prejudice and unwanted hatred that saturated the Nazi controlled territories. There is much to learn about this horrific event and how it forever altered the lives of those who were persecuted. My hope is that you leave this unit with an understanding of the events that led to this tragedy, a mental image of the atrocities that occurred as a result of one man's hatred and an appreciation for the depth of various reading selections from this period. Most importantly, I hope that you develop a stronger desire for tolernace of others ad justice toward all.
